Bernofarm is a leading pharmaceutical company in Indonesia. With its ever growing team Bernofarm sought to improve their internal operations by revamping and developing a new HRIS platform tailored to their specific needs. While they explored subscription-based platforms by other vendors, they ultimately decided that a custom-built solution would be more cost-efficient, flexible, and secure. Following the success of their consumer-facing platform, Fitalongday.com, Techtonic.id was engaged the second time to design and build this new HRIS platform.
Proposed Solutions & Key Features
To address Bernofarm’s requirements, we structured the first part of HRIS development, building the Payroll System into two phases:
Phase 1: Core Payroll System

Formula Configuration – A flexible payroll settings module that allows formula adjustments without modifying the source code.

Employee Management – A centralised database for storing employee information, including salary, benefits, and job history.

Attendance Integration – Seamless integration with Bernofarm’s existing attendance system to track working hours and salary calculations.

Payroll Calculation – Automated payroll processing based on attendance data and pre-configured formulas.

Seamless Reporting – Real-time HR and payroll reporting for payroll, THR, BPJS, compliance and other purpose to support daily operations and improve decision-making.

Onboarding & Resignation Workflow – A streamlined process for managing new hires and employee exits.
Phase 2: Taxation & Performance Management

Seamless Taxation – A feature to manage employee’s tax rate, tax calculation and tax reports.

The system was developed as a web-based application to ensure a lightweight and responsive experience, it was also deployed on a cloud architecture to high availability, data security, and seamless accessibility across multiple devices and locations.
